“Days Of Our Lives” Star Drake Hogestyn Dies at 70
Drake Hogestyn was known to fans of “Days of our Lives” as John Black since 1986. His family reports he passed away Saturday September 28, one day before his 71st birthday, after battling pancreatic cancer.

Hogestyn was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and initially signed with the New York Yankees to play professional baseball on their farm team until he was injured in 1977.
